I love to imagine Lillie having an Alolan Vulpix as her first Pokemon and she just dotes on it like nobody’s business. And Vulpix is extremely protective of Lillie and is wary of any and all strangers.

Except for Sun/Moon.

The first time Vulpix meets them, she sees the way Lillie looks and interacts with them and can just see how important they are to her.

Lillie is very confused but very happy by the way Vulpix immediately warms up to Sun/Moon by nuzzling their legs in a way she’s never done with anyone before.
