The whole uma musume is weird. They did their research right down to very last detail on every horse. Like, I never thought I be watching a horse anime that had little bits of facts for each character but here I am: watching a horse anime that had little bits of fact for each character.

It’s a series that doesn’t have a particularly deep premise, and yet they go hard on the meta for every single character. Even their formal race outfits have little references to the actual horse, like Special Week’s mismatched boots, and Suzuka’s green ear bonnet. It’s ridiculous and I kind of love it.
