The credits/flashback sequence at the end of XYZ 47 gets me really emotional, and not just because of the abundance of Amourshipping moments in it. Seeing all those big moments of Ash’s journey in Kalos and seeing how much he’s grown is just wonderful. And all of it is to V (Volt), the first OP for XY, and the song just kind of encapsulates how the series revived my love of the Pokemon anime.

ngl a lot of the Sun/Moon battle music didn’t really do much for me at first. I mean, I liked it just fine, but it didn’t stick with me the same way most of the music has in the past, but it’s starting to really grow on me. In particular, the Team Skull battle music is some of the best I’ve ever heard in the series now. Probably the best evil team battle music since Galactic.
