I think my favorite thing about the Pokemon anime is that it gives all the many species of Pokemon a certain amount of life that the games don’t really have. For example, Espurr was known in the games as being this horrifying monster that gazes into eternity, but then in the anime it’s the most adorable cinnamon roll to ever exist
