My kink is husbands & wives who are still portrayed as very much in love with each other, because even after years of commitment and kids, they still talk to each other, go on fun random adventures and try new things. No resentment. No portrayal of marriage as a chore. Just actual love.
#ok my favorite trope is ‘couple against the world’ #but not in a dramatic way #more like in a domestic ‘the Jones’s are at the door’ ‘lock down the house hide the kids turn off the lights we aren’t home’ #or like a ‘someone insulted OUR child? let’s fight them’ ‘I’ll get the megaphone’ #‘lets go to this work dinner and sneak as many mini corndogs as we can home’

Will I ever rest in my quest to get more people to read Sousei no Onmyouji?
The answer is no, I will never stop.
Okay, so I have a manga rec for you: Sousei no Onmyouji. It’s about these two exorcists who are told they are destined to have a child who will save the world. What makes it so good is the relationship between the main characters, Rokuro and Benio. They start out disliking each other, but it evolves into a really amazing partnership, and it doesn’t have any of the normal vaguely romantic nonsense, it’s very explicitly evolving into a romantic relationship and it’s just so great to watch.
Oh ho, interesting! I’ll definitely check it out. Manga or anime? I mainly read manga now so if there’s that I’ll check that out.
It has both, but it started as a manga and it’s vastly superior (unfortunately, Studio Pierrot is animating it, and it’s less than stellar with more filler than there should be).
Though, even though the anime isn’t great, the OP is amazing and works really well for showing everything off
(yes, it’s the second OP, but tbh it’s better than the first one)
