Okay, but Lee facepalming in the background during Sakura’s failfession is the best thing. Seriously Sakura, everyone knows how stupid this whole thing is.
This is seriously still one of my favorite panels in the entire manga. It’s the dumbest part in the dumbest arc and Lee’s facepalm just shows how dumb it is.
Thank you Rock Lee for demonstrating just how bad this entire scene is.

“And the rescue mission in BNHA was actually successful,” all passive aggressively.
I died.
I love it that whenever there’s criticism of Naruto as a series, that criticism is always centered around saucepan and how he makes everything worse.
Like, she was clearly set up to be a rival/motivation for him from the very beginning. The one shot is literally entirely about that rivalry. She’s not meant to be super friendly and supportive from the get go (which is a role that was later filled by the Polar Star dorm).
Besides, based on what I’ve read about later in the story, Soma and Erina’s relationship becomes a lot less antagonistic and evolves into a much more friendly rivalry (more similar to the one between Soma and Takumi, but without one of them being an awkward nerd)
