headcannon: whenever Zero Two is just sitting on the couch, Hiro just comes by and puts his head on hers like he’s a cat, and he does this for no other reason than to get a smile out of her… and he like to act tol.
Zero Two is already a very physically affectionate person, so I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that Klaxo Hiro would be the same. They’re just…very touchy-feely people, which can get a little exhausting for their friends, and then it’s a trait that gets passed down to their children.
“No matter what he does, he can’t file them down to a reasonable length since they grow back almost immediately” that part right there got me thinking, imagine him desperately trying to get them to normal length but no matter how many tools they use it doesn’t work , like for an example goro tries a small power saw to crop hiro’s horns a bit but it breaks?
I was more thinking that they just grow too fast that it isn’t worth even trying to file them, but the idea of Goro vainly trying to use like a belt sander or something to file his horns is stuck in my head, and I can’t stop laughing.
Dinofam Horn Headcanons
I couldn’t really fit this in either of my other headcanon posts, but have some HiroTwo horn headcanons (thanks to @tachipaws for inspiring and coming up with some of these)
- When Zero Two is pregnant, her horns grow slower because her body is re-routing nutrients to the baby
- By the time she has the triplets, she and Hiro are able to use it as a symptom when she doesn’t have to file her horns for awhile
- When they practically stop growing all together and she’s able to figure out that she’s having triplets
- On the flip side, Hiro’s horns start growing longer and faster as a part of a innate protective instinct. No matter what he does, he can’t file them down to a reasonable length since they grow back almost immediately
- Between his height and the length of his horns, he ends up bumping them on door frames…a lot.
- One time, Zero Two called for him very frantically, and in his rush to get to her, he slammed into the door frame and fell flat on his back
- (she was fine, she had just bet Ichigo that she could get him to fall over)
- Horn touching is a really big thing in the family. It’s very similar to the way a family would hug or kiss each other, but in some ways it’s more intimate than that
- Like in ep 22, touching horns can transfer memories and sensations between them, so touching them let’s the family convey emotions that are too difficult to explain with words
- Just…this one
- Hiro and Zero Two have a piece of each other’s horns in their wedding bands, which is a tradition they pass down to their children
- In addition, when the children reach a certain age, their parents give them a unique piece of jewelry with a piece of their horns set as the centerpiece
Following the alternative ending with dinobabies: my headcanon is that despite the happiness and joy when Zero Two finds out she’s pregnant, she’d be also worried about the fact that the kids are def gonna be half klax like their parents. She wants only the best for them and she’s scared they might be treated / called “monsters” just like she was. But fear not, Hiro is not going to let Zero Two think so and reassures her, with muuuch success
Hiro does an excellent job of reassuring her, but it’s still something that eats at her a little, all the way up until when the twins are born.
She’s holding her daughter for the first time and she has this powerful instinct to touch their horns together. When she does, the baby can feel the endless love and powerful desire to protect, and Zero Two can feel the baby’s recognition of this.
For the first time in her life, Zero Two feels blessed to have her horns because no one but her and her Darling can experience that kind of connection with their children.
This is a pretty crazy headcanon even for me, and it’s kind of an AU of my AU, so get ready.
So, back in episode 21 and 22, the possibility was discussed that the Klaxosaur Princess’ soul was inside of Apus along with Zero Two. Anyway, my hc here is that when Hiro and Zero Two come home, inside of Strelizia’s cockpit, they find a little girl (like 5 or something) with silver hair and a single blue horn in the middle of her forehead
This little girl has no memory of who she is, and they realize that the Klaxosaur Princess has been reborn. Naming her Hitotsume, Hiro and Zero Two decide to raise her so that she can live a life without constant fighting.
Hitotsume never fully regains her memory, but she knows that she can trust Hiro and Zero Two with anything. She grows up to be a quiet, but very happy little girl. By the time of the 10 year timeskip, she’s become the unofficial big sister of all the Squad 13 children and is ready to help them with anything.

An underrated Zero Two smile from the manga for your viewing pleasure
Hir02 headcanon: Zero Two sleeps like a little kid, all sprawled out and with her limbs sticking out everywhere – but if Hiro is with her she just presses herself to him, burrowing her face into his neck to breathe him in, or holds him with his head tucked under her chin. She’s also a total little spoon, hands down.
Zero Two being sprawled out while sleeping is an adorable image, and her sleeping while clinging to Hiro is even moreso. They start sleeping in the same bed after the battle at the Gran Crevasse, and for awhile, she practically sleeps on top of him because there’s a part of her that’s terrified he’s going to disappear. Even years later, there’s some nights where Hiro wakes up in the middle of the night with her holding his shirt in a death grip and her head tucked as far into his shoulder as possible.
I’ve seen a lot of art of Zorome and Miku being married and having a kid or two, and like, that’s totally valid and I love it, but consider:
They aren’t married, they have no kids, they live in a studio apartment, and they have like 5 dogs.
That’s their life and they love it.
