So I’m watching Goblet of Fire again, and seeing all the drama between Ron and Harry as well as Ron and Hermione, I’m just thinking to myself “ughhhh drama” and then I remembered “wait, they’re 14. This is exactly the kind of shit I dealt with when I was 14.” And it made me realize that despite all the faults that Rowling has as a writer, she’s actually quite good at writing teenagers in a way that doesn’t seem contrived or stupid.
